Fresh Salmon is a RAS (recirculating aquaculture system) fish farming business located in Santa Catarina, Brazil. It focuses on producing full size Atlantic Salmon for local markets. Traditionally, the Atlantic Salmon are raised on net pens in the cold sea in Chile and it’s not fully fresh for Brazilian market due the logistics by truck mainly.
The project will be developed in two equal stages of 5.000 tons/year each one.
The facility will be provided by Aqua Maof, a leading land-based aquaculture engineering company headquartered in Israel. Aqua Maof designs, constructs and RAS facilities around the world that utilize the recirculating water technology to raise fish on land with minimal use of antibiotics, hormones, or antiparasitic medications and will produce the salmon near the market.
Fresh Salmon is mainly funded by a subsidiary of a Chilean company Fresh Salmon and local skilled entrepreneurs. Both the owners and the management team are impressively skilled and experienced, supported by AquaMaof Israeli team.
